EVIL ASSOCIATIONS

Be not deceived, Evil communications corrupt good manners.(1 Cor.15:33), But let me tell you that evil associations does not only corrupt good manners but it will surely destroy glory, destiny and cut short lifes. 2 Corinthians 6:14 says “be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness”. 

One thing that can easily destroy a Christian is to sit in the counsel of evil people. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of the sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. (Psalm 1:1) 

Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob made a terrible mistake of going to meet the daughters of the land of Succoth, there she was defiled by Shechem the Prince of Hamor.(Gen.34:1-2). Deuteronomy 7:1-6,God clearly warned the children of Israel not to make any covenants with the people of the land of Canaan, they must not marry them but instead destroy them and there gods. 

Again, if Samson had not gone to Gaza of the land of the Philistines, he will not have suddenly lost his glory (Judges 16:1-31). Where and who are you sitting or communing with? 
7 Destructive Effects Of Evil Associations:

1. Evil associations automatically leads to destructive habits. (Gal.5:19-21)
2. Evil associations is a grave sin before God 
3. Evil associations terminate the glory of a Christian 
4. Holy Spirit does not manifest in the company of evil associations. 
5. Evil associations leads to spiritual famine. Any Christian in the company of evil associations will definitely not hear from the Lord 
6. Evil associations leads to untimely or sudden death of a Christian 
7. And finally, Evil associations will surely deprives you of your blessings from God. 

Therefore, as a Christian and child of God you really need to be careful of the type of associations you keep around you. Remember to drop your comments and prayer requests.
